Cases & case prep

The tray-by-tray checklist you run the morning of surgery.

Open a case

  1. 1From the dashboard, tap a case in the Today list — or open "Start Case" in the bottom navigation for every upcoming case.
  2. 2Tap a case to open it. Rows show the surgeon, hospital, and a TODAY / TOMORROW / date tag.

Prep a case tray by tray

  1. 1Open the case — the checklist is live right away. Tap "Edit" to add anything one-off.
  2. 2Work the "Trays" section top to bottom: expand a tray and tick each item as you pull it — the tray fills in by itself when everything inside is done.
  3. 3Or tap the tray's own checkbox to mark the whole tray ready at once.
  4. 4When everything's ticked, tap "Finish case" at the bottom.
  • The badge next to each tray tells you "● Already here" (on-site at the case's hospital) or "▲ Bring it".
  • There is no "start" step — a case is yours to work from the moment you open it.
  • Finishing a case marks its opened trays "Unsterile" so you remember they need to go back through SPD — untouched trays stay sterile. If anything is still unticked, Dash asks before it finishes. "Reopen case" puts it back on the schedule.
  • Progress also counts the room-map pieces and the other checklist sections — the percent at the top is the whole case.

Use the OR room map

  1. 1Open the case's "Room setup" section. The map starts locked — tap each piece as you place it in the room.
  2. 2To rearrange: tap "Edit map", then drag pieces (and the OR table) where they belong.
  3. 3Tap a piece to rename it, drag the round knob above it to rotate, and use the slider on the map's right edge to resize.
  4. 4Add equipment with the palette pills (Microscope, C-arm, Back table, Mayo stand, and more), then tap "Done".

Add one-off items to a case

  1. 1Open the case and tap "Edit".
  2. 2Type into "Add a tray…" in the Trays section, "Add an item to pull…" inside a tray, or "Add an item…" in any other checklist.
  3. 3Remove anything with the X next to it, then tap "Done editing".
  • One-off edits only touch this case — the surgeon's procedure template stays as you built it.

Save a case setup as a reusable template

  1. 1On a scheduled case, open "Case options".
  2. 2Tap "Save this setup as a template", name it, and tap "Save as template".
