Common questions

Quick answers to the questions we hear most.

Can I put patient information in Dash?

  • No — never. Dash isn't meant to hold patient data: no names, MRNs, dates of birth, or surgery details tied to a patient, and no photos showing patients, charts, wristbands, or signage.
  • This is a hard rule of the Terms of Service — Dash screens for patient identifiers and may delete content that contains them — and it's what keeps Dash safe to use: your count sheets and the hospital's records remain the clinical record.

Does Dash work offline?

  • Dash needs a connection to save changes. In low-signal hospital basements, what's on screen stays readable, but saves go through when you're back on signal — Dash tells you when you're offline.
  • Tip for dead zones: take tray photos with your phone camera, then use “Add from camera roll” in Capture once you're connected.

Why does a tray say Levels “Not set”?

  • Imported trays (and single-level untagged trays) start without a level count. Open the tray, tap "Edit", and choose the "Number of levels" — that also creates its photo slots in Capture.

Why won't a tray move to a hospital?

  • A consignment tray marked "Damaged · out of service" can't be sent to a hospital — open the tray, tap "Edit", and change it there first. Returning a damaged tray to storage is always allowed.
  • If Dash says the tray is already at that location, there was simply nothing to move.

How do I change my name, email, or password?

  • Name, phone, or email: open Settings, tap the "Account" section, then "Edit details". Change what you need and tap "Save changes".
  • An email change sends a confirmation link to the NEW address first — your email only updates once you tap it.
  • Password: use “Forgot password?” on the sign-in screen any time — that flow is also the change-password flow.

How do I ask a question or send feedback?

  • Tap your initials (top right) → "Questions & feedback", or open Settings and tap "Questions or feedback?" near the bottom.
  • Type your message and tap "Send message" — it lands with a real person who replies to your account email within 12 hours. Prefer email? support@dashcheck.app works too.

Is there a free plan?

  • Dash doesn't have a permanently free tier — every plan requires a subscription. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial: add a card at signup, use the full toolkit, and you're not charged until day 8 — cancel any time before then and you pay nothing. See what's included on each plan at dashcheck.app/pricing.

Still stuck? Email support@dashcheck.app — a real person replies within 12 hours, on every plan.
